My body must think I’m playing jokes on it.

Body: Oh but you’ll get back in bed and sleep til 1 p.m.

Me: No. I’m serious. We’ll be walking around New York all day.

Body: But we’ll snooze on the bus

Me: I still have to be awake until then. I might not even fall asleep instantly.

Body: Please. You can’t fool me. Stare at the ceiling in the dark until you come to your senses.

Me: *sobbing* let me go to sleep so I’m not zombiefied in New York.
